So this must be a species of inky cap. I’m thinking Coprinopsis variegata, but the fact that there are scales and it’s not shaggy is really throwing me off. The stem is hollow, and the gills are dark browny-black and it seems to be disintegrating like an inky. Thanks! And sorry for the poor picture.
